Copy ... Three years late

I will admit that I have been totally sleeping on this group. I heard Copy pop up in Pandora stream and I was immediately interested. When I did some research on "Hair Guitar" I saw that this album came out in 2007. I decided that three years was way too long already and downloaded it immediately. I really am enjoying the stripped down electronic sound that builds on layers and layers of synths. This was too good to keep to myself. I wanted to share some of the good tunes... Enjoy

HipGnosis - Blindfold Estatic Mix

I just saw HipGnosis new Mixtape come across the Twitter wire. I am 10 minutes in and I already know this is going to be a hot one. Anytime you start a mix with a Portishead remix; my attention will be instantly grabbed. Follow it with a creeped out/dubstep/downtempo Britany Spears Toxic Remix and I am sold.

As you may or may not know I am a bit of a mixtape junkie. I think it is the perfect way to hear new artist and get free music at the same time. The Mix Album, like Juan Maclean's Dj Kicks, is the pinnacle of the mix genera. If you are going to pay money to hear a dj spin, it better be flawless and perfectly produced.
