The second installment of the weekly Soundcloud project got delayed by work of all things. You would think that traveling would be a perfect time to search soundcloud for new and amazing artists but it is totally not. Inconsistent hotel internet connections and long hours driving in the car do wonders to kill all motivation for working on the blog. Well enough with the excuses and on to the music!

I have been following The Lempo and JapWow project for a few months now on soundcloud. They began 2011 with a bang by releasing an incredible hot mixtape in early January. To be specific, it is their very first mixtape and consists mostly of their original remixes.

Mike McGuiness and Nina Japwow are from Manchester, Englad. They are doing some really interesting stuff with house music these days. Their music consists of jazz and swing standards screwed and chopped to house beats. I love that they use Gypsy and Bollywood influence in some the tracks as well. For having 8 months of airtime on soundcloud, it is a shame that most of their tracks haven't gotten more play.

Jamie the producer from The XX has been busy these days. I am absolutely loving everything that he touches including this bass heavy, stripped down, Dubbed out Adele remix. Adele has a golden voice and it seem like Jamie has the golden touch. Perfect marriage to get you Friday going.

The Hundred in the Hands

These guys and gals from Brooklyn have to be one of my favorite finds in 2010. Not by any stretch are The Hundred in the Hands a new artist but they are new to me. They passed me by with as much music I digest every day; so they may very well be new to you also.

I strongly suggest you buy their self titled album off the Warp Record Label. It's good old fashion electro / rock goodness. Reminds me allot of the sounds of Ladyhawke and some of the more light hearted Ladytron. Great rhythm. Good vocals. Nice instrumentation and hooks that just won't get out of your head. I have owned the album for a few weeks now and I still must listen to it everyday. Sometimes I wonder why I continue to search and search for music and on days that I find bands like this; it all makes sense. Here are some bonus tunes from my soundcloud page. Rusko "Hold on" Feat Amber Coffman

I am so glad that Mad Decent Released this single off Rusko's new album OMG. Its a new wave of Dubstep in my opinion. Purist that like the slow grime will probably not like the sound. But wussies like me will find "Hold On" to be a breath of fresh air. I think that it will have an enormous cross over appeal and I would be surprised if it caught onto the mainstream in the near future. Enjoy it in the hear and now...
