I was lucky enough to hear a copy of The Whitest Boy Alive's newest Album "Rules" which is set to release March 2009. This album purposely going to be a departure from the last work "Dreams". Erlend Oye wanted to record each track in the studio with one take. He wanted to capture the special-ness of a live show. Not only did he keep the quality of the album on par with his last album, but managed to turn up the beat. All instrumental rock quartets
erlend øye – guitar and vocals
marcin oz – bass
sebastian maschat – drums
daniel nentwig – rhodes and crumar
don't usually get you to your feet unless your name is The Killers or Franz Ferdinand. He is going to have crowds dancing their ass off with this one. I hope they venture into the deep south. Amazing group, amazing album, The Whitest Boy Alive Rules.

A New Year, A New Band
I can't believe it has been almost an entire month since I have posted. I have been busy traveling from Atlanta to Florida to Arkansas and now soon back to Georgia. I leave thursday to go back to Atlanta to watch my Florida Gators with some fellow UF grads.
While I have been away I have discovered a bunch of new music through friends, family, and emusic, which is still the best deal for your money. I don't have a lot to spend on music each month but 15$ buys me 50 tracks. If you don't want to do the math, that's 30 cents a freaking track. Itunes is over three times the cost. You can argue that itunes has an incredible selection and you can get almost everything, but is it worth paying three times more to those guys. They make enough already.
Here is an example of an incredible find that I discovered on emusic. VibeSquad is catagorized as the multi-personality of brainchild manifestation of Aaron Holstein. Adjectives to describe the Colorodo's producer/dj sound are "Breakbeat • Funky • Glitchy • Heavy • IDM • Midtempo"
I couldn't believe it when I checked out his myspace, he only had 13k friends. Put that into perspective, compared to Justice, they had 270k fans. Granted, dude has been putting out records since 2007 but once the hipsters and the electro kids get a hold of this, he's going to blow up. Already touring in a area near you, not me. So you people lucky enough to live on the West Coast, pay a few bucks to listen to a great Dj making music that pushes the envelope. Get crunk, enjoy the electro and go to sleep at night hearing the glitches...
