A few weeks ago I was able to hear just a track or two before I downloaded Yuksek's ablum, "Away from the Sea." Yuksek is Pierre-Alexandre Busson; a french dance music producer. The sound reminds me of the first time hearing Justice. The album starts with Break Ya, an ominious loop that deconstructs right before your ears. Then jumps into Tonight, which is the best dance track on the album. I am very surprised I haven't heard it on the mixtape scene. Maybe it is the lack of English press that is holding him back. More than half the websites I found are completely in french. The album is anything but french. The majority of the tracks feature English vocals. This is a very America Friendly album. It will only be a matter of time before Yuksek starts touring across the pond. For now, I will have to patiently wait.
